Day 17

Nourishment

Pomegranate--a wonderful fruit in the same way the pistachios are a wonderful nut.   Every bite is a hard-earned victory.

  • 10:30--2 clementines
  • 12:00--1/2 cup of creole yam fries, 2 baby apples, 1/2 c. of Trader Joe's Puttanesca sauce (Yup. I adore spaghetti sauce in a cup by itself. I know it's weird, but I promise I'm not the only one! I googled it.)
  • 2:00--A late brunch with my beautiful friend Molly! (Three hours of geek-out time on food, organic beauty, and solving the world's problems :) Yam fries in coconut oil, scrambled eggs in ghee w/ leeks and bacon, bone broth with dulse flakes, and a delicious pomegranate.
  • 4:30--1/2 tin sardines, a little pickle juice, tangerine, baby apple (they're so cute!)

  • 7:30--soup broth and greens with pickled veggies
  • 9:30--carrot and baby apple

Cash Check

Who doesn't love that faint dirt flavor?

Who doesn't love that faint dirt flavor?

$59--$42 at Mississippi Market and $17 at Trader Joe's. I FINALLY went grocery shopping, and should be good to go for the whole week! Challenge to self: no groceries until next Sunday.

...This shouldn't sound as daunting as it does :l Produce is an expensive addiction. The leeks. And bell peppers. And glorious sweet potatoes.

did, however, overcome the desire for a bag of Turkish apricots. Little victories :)

Conditioning

20 pushup/burpee/tuck jumps. Not much, but it definitely got my heart rate up this morning!
